Right before classes start, the student union, LSESU, will host an activities fair. Definitely go. The clubs are mostly geared toward undergraduates, but many postgrads attend and sign up. And there are many. From badminton to finance, you can be sure your hobbies are covered.

A few really cool ones are Wine Tasting Club (a bit expensive, but worth it), Food Appreciation Club, and Social Tennis. Don’t worry if you can’t make the fair. You can sign up anytime for a club by going to LSESU.com. Immediately, you’ll start receiving emails from the group.
